This accolade highlights Lucy’s dedication to skin health and holistic wellness, cementing her position as a skin industry leader.
Lucy entered the professional beauty industry 20 years ago, driven by a passion for skin from the very beginning. After owning commercial salons for over 15 years, she envisioned creating a boutique skin space where clients could receive personalised, one-on-one care. Thus, SKIN by Lucy was born in Melbourne’s southeast, offering a sanctuary for those seeking to improve and restore their skin health.
At SKIN by Lucy, clients are treated as unique individuals, starting with a thorough consultation session. "Each skin journey is personalised, taking into account all factors of a client’s lifestyle," says Lucy. Believing that the skin’s appearance reflects internal health, Lucy takes a holistic approach, aiming for lasting results – not just temporary fixes.
Lucy’s philosophy is simple: work with the skin, not against it. She avoids fads and understands what is required for the skin to function correctly, ensuring it glows inside and out. Her extensive knowledge, bolstered by her Diploma of Health Science Naturopathy, her to provide the best care possible.

Lucy’s award-winning result at The Skinlympics was achieved through a meticulous and empathetic approach. Her client presented with uncomfortably dry and painful barrier-impaired skin, seeking relief from constant discomfort. Lucy began with a comprehensive consultation to understand her client’s lifestyle and factors affecting her skin. She crafted a personalised treatment plan focused on nourishing the skin and gradually introducing more advanced treatments.
"The individualised approach and ongoing communication were essential," explains Lucy. "Our treatment plan was to nourish and start slow, building up to more advanced treatments. It was an emotional journey for my client, and I always ensure I’m empathetic to the mental state of my clients because skin is such a personal thing and can really affect self-esteem."
Lucy combined external skin treatments with internal care, referring her client to a naturopath for pathology testing to address underlying issues. This holistic approach was crucial for achieving lasting results. Throughout the treatment program, Lucy adapted her client’s product prescriptions based on their skin’s evolving needs, ensuring optimal care at every stage. LED therapy played a significant role in the treatment, and future plans include skin needling to enhance results further.
