Competition Terms and Conditions

The Skinlympics Competition Rules:

​

1. Who Can Enter:
   a. Participants must be 18 years or older to enter.
   b. Open to individuals of all genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
   c. Entrants must reside in Australia or New Zealand

   d. A valid qualification to perform skin treatments is required and must be presented as proof upon application.

2. Nature of Competition:
   a. The Skinlympics is dedicated to promoting excellence in the field of skin therapy.
   b. This competition is judged virtually and celebrated in person.

​

3. Entries:
   a. Participants are eligible to submit one entry per category.
   b. Entries must be original work
   c. Participants must submit a detailed description of their consultation, treatment modalities, products used, prescription recommendation and before/after photos to be used in their entry.

​

4. Recentness:
   a. Entries submitted must be treated within the last 12 months
 

5. Ownership:
   a. Participants retain ownership of their entries.
   b. The Skinlympics organisers reserve the right to showcase and promote entries with proper attribution.

​

6. Proof:
   a. Participants may be required to provide proof of the treatment process, including progress photos and treatment notes.

​

7. Intellectual Property:
   a. Participants grant The Skinlympics organisers a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and display their entries for promotional purposes.
   b. The organisers will respect the intellectual property rights of participants.

   c. Entries submitted must be of ones own work and not replicated from others.

​

8. Rights for Media Use:
   a. Participants acknowledge that media coverage (photographs, videos, interviews, podcast) may occur during the event.
   b. Participants grant the organisers the right to use their name, likeness, and biographical information for promotional purposes.

​

9. Judging:
   a. Entries will be judged based on treatment outcomes, skill, originality, and overall knowledge base.
   b. A panel of qualified judges will evaluate the entries and determine the winners.

​

10. Winners and Finalists:
    a. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category
    b. Finalists will be announced online and on social media on the 29th April.

​

11. Cancellation of Event:
    a. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
    b. In the event of cancellation, entry fees may be refunded at the discretion of the organisers.

​

12. Disqualification:
    a. Participants may be disqualified for violating competition rules, including plagiarism, inappropriate behavior, or failure to comply with competition guidelines.

​

13. Refunds:
    a. Entry fees are non-refundable, except in the case of event cancellation or at the organisers' discretion.

​

By participating in The Skinlympics, participants agree to abide by these rules and any additional guidelines provided by the organisers. The organisers reserve the right to make amendments or updates to the rules as necessary.
